- Merchant refers to the Shopify store owner who installs and uses our App.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Pixel or Tracking Pixel refers to The Trade Desk advertising pixel code that our App helps Merchants implement on their stores.
- Service refers to the App and related services.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company, including The Trade Desk and other third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service.
- Store Visitor refers to individuals who visit Merchant stores where our App has been installed.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Data Collection Through Our App
Information We Collect from Merchants
When Merchants use our App, we may collect:
- Shopify store information and configuration data necessary for pixel implementation1
- Contact information including email address and store details1
- Usage data related to how the App is configured and used1
Information Collected Through The Trade Desk Pixel
Our App facilitates the placement of The Trade Desk advertising pixel on Merchant stores. Once implemented, this pixel may collect information about Store Visitors including:
- Device information (IP address, browser type, device identifiers)2
- Browsing behavior and page interactions2
- Referral sources and navigation patterns2
- Technical data such as screen resolution and browser settings2
Important Note: While our App has the technical capability to access customer data through Shopify's API scopes, we do not actively collect, process, or store customer personal information for our own purposes. Our App's primary function is to facilitate proper pixel implementation for advertising measurement and optimization13.
How We Use Information
Merchant Information
We use Merchant information to:
- Provide and maintain our App services1
- Configure and implement The Trade Desk pixel correctly
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting
- Communicate about service updates and functionality
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
Store Visitor Information (via Pixel)
Information collected through The Trade Desk pixel is used by The Trade Desk and advertising partners for:

The Trade Desk Integration
Store Visitor information collected through the pixel is automatically shared with The Trade Desk in accordance with their privacy policy2. The Trade Desk acts as an independent data controller for this information and has their own privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Data Retention
- Merchant Data: We retain Merchant account information for as long as the App is installed and for a reasonable period afterward to provide support and comply with legal obligations.
- Usage Data: Technical usage data is retained for up to 24 months for service improvement purposes.
- Pixel Data: Information collected through The Trade Desk pixel is subject to The Trade Desk's retention policies, typically up to 18 months2.
Third-Party Advertising and Tracking
Our App enables the use of The Trade Desk's advertising technology, which:
- Uses cookies and similar tracking technologies2
- May engage in cross-site tracking for advertising purposes2

- Do Not Track: We honor Do Not Track signals where technically feasible
Mandatory Compliance Webhooks
In accordance with Shopify's requirements, our App implements mandatory compliance webhooks to handle data subject requests45:
- customers/data_request: When a customer requests their data, we provide any relevant information we may have collected
- customers/redact: When a customer requests data deletion, we delete any personal information in our systems
- shop/redact: When a Merchant uninstalls our App, we delete associated store data within 48 hours
International Data Transfers
Information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including:
- Standard contractual clauses with service providers
- Adequacy decisions from relevant authorities where applicable
- Other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect personal information, including:

Children's Privacy
